Elk Deer Moose & Sheep and mountain goats - ON THE WILD SIDE PHOTOGRAPHY
Aquila chrysaetos, or the golden eagle proud and majestic to say the least. I will never forget the first time I saw a golden in the wild feeding on a deer carcas along the highway in eastern Oregon. It was so big and powerful looking it took my breath away and I have been captivated by them ever since. I was blessed to have been able to photograph this bird in the west end of the Lamar Valley in Yellowstone in May of 2009.

The rocky mountain elk, an iconic creature that defines the grandeur and rugged nature of the region that it is named after. This large herd bull is working hard to keep his harem together and defend his territory from other bulls. I photographed him and his girls in the Norris region of Yellowstone National Park in September 2010.
